Inspired by travels to Jaipur, India. I met her in Amer, near the fort, in the blazing summer heat. It was a tourist spot — people riding elephants, kids running around — and then you see a wall. Against it, the beggars hide from the scorching sun to find a little shade and some food. I was compelled to portray her reality.
