In 2021, my alma mater changed its name from Robert E. Lee to John R. Lewis High School, and the school put out a call for a muralist to paint something for the official renaming ceremony.

During my senior year, my own paintings had hung on that same wall, so I knew how much this job mattered. I got it, and what came out of it was historic. It was unveiled on reveal day with the Governor and school leadership — and it launched my mural business.

A mural built from the culture and excitement of Mount Vernon students. Most of the students in it were added in real time, as they walked by and posed for me. Meeting all the different clubs, the diversity, and the school spirit every day was amazing.

One of the main themes, “We own the highway,” celebrates the school's rivalry with its neighbors along Route 1. The imagery captures many sides of high school life — passions, community and pride.

A very rewarding project: a wide wall, with full creative freedom over the design. I painted real students and teachers into the scene — on the field, in the house windows, even on the playground equipment.

The most community- and student-driven project I've done. I created three video lessons that asked students to draw symbols of what it means to be “welcomed, seen and accepted” at their school. Hundreds of drawings came in; I filtered through them and built full mural designs, then the students voted on their favorites.

After their feedback, I painted the final mural — with hundreds of symbols taken line for line from the students' own drawings in the sky. Classes stopped by every day as I worked, and they loved finding their drawings in it.

On reveal day, families and community members joined the students to put their handprints on the mural's four pillars.

Painted in my family's village in Punjab, about fifteen minutes from Moosa, as a tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala after he was killed in May 2022. He was a breakout star who put our region and our culture on the map.

Every day I was out painting, locals came by to play his songs and tell me how they first met him. I still listen to his music almost every day.

My first mural for a client. Each letter represents something about the family's culture and interests. The distance meant many trips to finish it, and I learned a lot along the way — most importantly, that I could create a mural.

A two-part project: a wall mural and a blacktop sensory path. I started by observing a class, then designed a student-centered wall full of mini worlds for kids to discover. Each corner has moments that are fun, relatable, and that get them thinking about their present and their future.

The sensory path was my first — designed entirely around how kids run, jump and skip across the blacktop. It's built in three parts that lead to a sun shape at the finish, like a foot race.

Packers Fan Bar

Made for the biggest Packers fan I know, for a new corner around his freshly built basement bar. The room was already full of memorabilia, but this mural ties every era of Packers fandom together.

Look closely and you'll find his wife and son in the crowd — a surprise I added.

One of my most extensive murals. A Marvel fan needed three empty walls in his basement home theater brought to life. I painted 15 Avengers, each with its own background — plus glow-in-the-dark outlines that light up during movie time.

Have a wall in mind?

Every mural I create starts with listening — to the space, the people and its history. From first concept to final brushstroke, the goal is artwork that feels personal, timeless and connected to the community it lives in.

I paint for schools, businesses, community organizations and homeowners, including grant-funded public art. Tell me about your wall and I'll put together a proposal.
