The Light You Left

Oil on canvas · 24 × 24 in · Ramandip Singh

I painted this while reflecting on someone I lost two years ago. He was my cousin, but more of a brother — not a day passes that I don't think about him.

We all have someone we've lost along the way; this piece is for them. The lantern they left still burns, and its light still reaches us.
