Ramandip Singh is a painter specializing in portraiture, knife work and murals.
He's a riveting artist who’s been practicing his artistic expression for 15 years. In 2014, he received a dual degree in Art Education & Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University located in Richmond, VA. Those degrees allowed him to create a life based around art and painting. For 6 years, he's been teaching art in Fairfax County Public Schools (VA) and started his own art business (art of raman LLC) in 2017.
The paintings he creates are inspired by many travels (including travels to his homeland of India), personal relationships and his experiences of selective moments in life.
He enjoys creating atmospheric story pieces of humans traveling through the journey of life. With his palette knife, he creates focused and textured elements, while keeping the atmosphere vague and suggestive.
His strongest art influences are Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Jeremy Mann and JWM Turner.
He loves his family, enjoys traveling, music, genuine fun and opportunities to make a positive impact on others. He’s grateful for the sacrifices his parents made in coming to America when he was 5 years old to provide him and his younger sister access to more opportunities. They have both seized the opportunity this country offers. He has big plans to nurture and grow his art business into a beautiful full life. His sister went to Virginia Commonwealth University alongside him and went the doctorate route. One day at a time, they are making their dreams come true in a tribute to their parents’ sacrifices.
