I have some bigger pieces coming up that I need to practice some color combinations with and decided to create this to prepare. I have probably done a variation of this composition quite a few times, maybe I could turn them into a series or something.

What's different about this one I think , is the coolish gray in the foreground. Usually I go way too high in brightness with waves and it sticks out because of the white, the mixture here helped not draw too much attention. I could probably make for a smoother transition into the surrounding colors though.

I am obsessed with themes of man and journey and always come back to it every few paintings. I think its about preparing to do something big or making a change in life, it subconsciously comes out on canvas.
